Completion of the transaction has been delayed again. Due to the uncertainties with the water Peter proposed to complete the deal at the 10th of December.

There’s going to be a survey by Scottish Water to confirm that we can actually connect to the mains water. This request has been dispatched to their Aberdeen office…
Water

Water remains a bit of a mystery. According to plans supplied by Scottish Water there are pipes running through the land west of the road but it is yet unclear whether we can connect ot these pipes and whether there’s enough capacity for another house. The distance between the future location of the house and the location of the pipes doesn’t seem to create any problems.
Water and more…

I received a letter from Peter Mason about the possibilities to connect the plot to mains water. This is as of yet unclear. If the plot cannot be connected to water, it’s basically useless. So, we decided to retrieve some information from Scottish Water and see where the water connection actually is situated and how this relates to the plot. If, necessary the right to get access to water could be put down in the deeds.
Also, as the sellers will retain a strip of land we’ve proposed a lower purchase price to compensate for this strip. As of yet there’s no reaction yet… We’ll see and wait.
Again… delay

The sellers have failed to produce all the required information to Peter Mason. So, we’re delaying the transaction until the 30th of November. Obviously this is a bit of a disappointment, but it’s better to be well prepared, as Peter advised us.

Well, the sellers hold on to their wish to retain a strip of land of 8 foot along the south side of the plot. The want this for shore access.
