Fuel crisis

April 23, 2008

“SCOTLAND could be just days away from a fuel crisis after workers at the country’s only refinery announced a two-day strike in a pension row.”

We found out yesterday at the local gas station where we were only allowed a £20.00 take-in. Really hope they get this sorted quickly. Skye is not really looking forward to something like a fuel crisis…

Yes, this is something we can well do without. It can quickly cripple an island like Skye. On the other hand any crisis like this tends to bring out the best in people, in terms od doubling up on transport etc..
As we have to go south at the weekend, we imagine we shall limp from petrol station to petrol station, filling up a measly amount every time we see a filling station.
