Puppy Tail

“Suddenly it’s there again,
I see it with my eye,
I turn to grab, but it’s not there…
then it’s there again, behind.

Must be quicker next time,
Take it by surprise,
I turn again, but it’s gone again
and it’s there again, behind.

Faster and faster round I go
and then I feel a pain,
I must remember when it’s there again,
that it’s part of me, behind.”
