Rain, wind… and more rain and wind

Wintery Cuillin in snowIt’s been raining and gusting non-stop now for a couple of days. The ground near the chicken hutch is extremely soggy and you can’t really walk there without wellies. I had a peek at the Met Office website but the end is not yet in sight. Again for tonight heavy rain has been predicted together with a severe weather warning… bad news!

From a recent trip up north are the following pictures: Skye is looking really grim now with only an occasional hint of winter scenery, like a bit of snow on the Cuillin. But so far the wintery scenery has passed us by unfortunately.

Obviously we’re very busy with our puppy dog. He’s a handful, so time at the computer has been drastically reduced. He has his naughty and destructive moments but generally behaves very well. Especially at night… after reading horror stories of endless howling and whining we were prepared for nights with little or no sleep. But no, none of it. On that account he’s already a big boy! The continuing bad weather doesn’t make his house training an easy job though as he clearly hates to go out on windy, rainy days….
