The King of Stings
September 6, 2008
Most unfortunate! I got stung by a wasp this week. In my middle finger of my right hand to be precise. It burned for a night and now it’s itching. But it’s a deep itch, if you know what I mean. An itch you can’t really scratch. Very annoying… ![]()

Got something to say?

Ok. This is what you should do. Take a spoonful of baking powder, mix that with 20cl of blended whiskey, peel a tomato, slice it in very small pieces, put it right in with the whiskey, put in a teaspoon of sour cream, throw in 4 raw eggs, and mix that for half an hour or so. In the meantime preheat the oven to 250. Put in a pizza with extra blue cheese, salami and red peppers. When the pizza is done, put the mixture in a nozzle and spray it gently on the hot pizza. Then throw it all in the garbage bin, because it isn’t edible, and clean the kitchen.
I know it doesn’t cure your itch, but at least you got your mind of it for a while.
Very sorry to hear about your wasp sting and so sorry only just read about it.
If you need a real remedy for stings keep this in mind:
Wasp stings are alkaline so putting a mild acid on it will take away the sting, ie lemon juice or vinegar or anything else you have handy at the time.
Bee stings on the other hand are acidic so anything alkaline will help ease the sting, ie bicarbonate of soda or soap.
Sorry I didn’t catch this sooner but these are good tips to keep in mind for the future.
